lyrics
beautiful girl, old fashioned world,
lived a life by the shore, couldn’t ask for more,
until a beautiful dream had crossed her mind -
she set the sights for the same eyes, gave it a try;
‘worth it’ she said, ‘what i see in my head;
is picture perfect, on back of my eyes - brightly shining,’
she don’t know it’s a dream, ‘is it happening to me?’
its seems the sky has finally found a way to hide
but sometimes there's a little light that shines down on her
and it illuminates the sky, and her colours, they fly
it’s so beautiful, it's true
now this beautiful dream, wasn’t quite what it seemed;
riding up slowly on a nightmare in the night where she sleeps.
wake her up in a mess, there’s no need to undress;
there is no time for any shying away or crying today cause
she feel it, so right, ‘will i see you tonight?’ she said
there ain’t no promise, but regardless it’s a lot to make,
so just take it away,’- ‘why are you being this way?’
its seems the sky has finally found a way to hide
but sometimes there's a little light and it shines down on her
and it illuminates the sky, and her colours, they fly
something so beautiful, it's true
got a ticket to tell, bonne soir, hey belle;
i have the choice to rape or consummate the hell that once was
a walk in the park, long after dark;
here my name and call it out again, now walk beside me.
the ocean is close, without it at most
we wouldn’t be burnt beyond repair, and that’s exactly how it goes:
(its needless to say, but) the opposite way.
it seems the sky has finally found a way to hide her face,
but sometimes there's a little light that shines down on her
and it illuminates the sky and her colours they fly,
it’s so beautiful, you know it
